Description
Chassis No. UE1S23678
Engine No. 7S14520LA
Introduced in 1971 to mark the 10th anniversary of the E-Type, the Series 3 brought significant developments that set it apart from its predecessors, most notably its substantial and smooth 5. 3-liter V12 engine, cooled through a larger, full-width grille, as well as a chassis with a longer wheelbase and wider track, while retaining the unmistakable shape that had made the Jaguar E-Type famous.
Manufactured in October 1973 with the desirable manual transmission, this Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Roadster was delivered new in the United States in February 1974 in Old English White with a Biscuit interior, a color combination it retains to this day.
Imported to Switzerland for the new millennium, the car retains its matching-numbers engine and is equipped with the desirable air conditioning. It benefits from an older restoration in its original color configuration, according to its Jaguar Heritage Certificate. A metric odometer was fitted, and its large hood was replaced with a desirable European-specification example, removing the front-mounted US-market turn signals.
The car passed its veteran inspection on 21 May 2025, as evidenced by the stamp on its canceled Zurich registration, and will be offered with four carburetors, a spare wire wheel, and an owner's manual. With its matching-numbers imposing 5. 3-liter V12 and the desirable manual transmission, and unmistakable styling, this Series 3 E-Type Roadster remains a highly sought-after classic, appreciated for its performance, timeless appeal, and status as the final iteration of the iconic E-Type line.
