The MG MGB is one of those British roadsters that didn’t rely on flashiness, but on a tried-and-tested formula: a long bonnet, a low ride height, simple engineering and a front-mounted engine driving the rear wheels. By 1973, the model had reached maturity, having earned a reputation as a car capable of handling both weekend jaunts and longer journeys without unnecessary complexity. The atmosphere of a classic MG rests precisely on this mechanical straightforwardness – the driver feels close to the car, hears the engine, feels the chassis, and every drive has a distinctly analogue character. The car is fitted with an inline four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1798 cm³. Mechanically, it is fully functional and ready for further use. The bodywork has a nice paint finish in good condition, whilst the orange colour scheme lends the car a distinctive period character. The boot lid is fitted with a practical luggage rack. The interior has minor cosmetic flaws consistent with the car’s age, which do not significantly affect its overall usability. The car is ready for registration.
