Description
This is a top quality soft leather travel/ airline bag with a discreet Mercedes three pointed star badge on the front. Made specially for Mercedes Benz U. K. Ltd by the famous Papworth Everard leather luggage company, (travel goods makers to the Queen), it displays a leather tag inside embossed as such.
It is mainly light blue with navy blue detailing and has four zipped compartments, each with its own leather pull tag. It has an adjustable and removable shoulder strap with a movable pad for carrying comfort. It is 16"(41cm) x 12"(30cm) in size.
It is in excellent condition apart from some very slight scuffing on the base corners where it has been placed on the ground. It still retains its leathery smell and would appear to have had little use.
A bag like this to buy today would cost about £350 from this company! I think it may date from the 1960-70's era and is ideal for a Mercedes car from this age, to use as intended or as a period prop at shows etc.
