Having originally been supplied by Southend Motor & Aero Company (SMAC) of Southend On Sea on the 02/ 08/ 1978, we are delighted to bring to market for the first time in 12 years this restored low ownership MGB Roadster.
Accompanying the car is a large file including mots back to 1982 and invoices for general maintenance and restoration. The car was subject to a major body restoration in 1998 at a cost of £7800, this included the fitting of leather seats, conversion to metal bumpers and having the ride height set to the correct level.
Since its restoration the car has been maintained and improved, with the fitting of a high torque starter motor, fully balanced engine and clutch in Dec 2011 at a cost of £2000, and a reconditioned differential and rear axle in 2013.
As a direct result of this care and expense we have a MGB that presents and drives very well. The car comes with a full tonneau cover, fully carpeted boot area and overdive on 3rd and 4th gears making motorway cruising a relaxing experience.
All this car now needs is a new owner to drive, cherish and enjoy it.
