Reluctantly I'm selling this lovely Sunbeam S8 due to taking a new job, meaning I no longer have the time to ride and look after the bike as much as it deserves.
If you are reading this, then you may already know that these bikes are the epitome of a British classic motorcycle with great history and a keen following (Sunbeam Owners Fellowship - I am a member) and dedicated spares and advice from the lovely team at Stewart Engineering in Poole.
The bike is in lovely condition for a 66 year old bike and draws a crowd whenever I take it out.
The bike starts easily and runs and rides superb. It selects gears perfectly and stops as a 66 year old bike should...
The bike is well looked after as I carry out periodic maintenance and all parts are checked over regularly.

6 volt electrics with recent new coil.
New HT leads and plug caps (original Lodge ones supplied).
Amal carb (with spare).

New spark plugs.
New air filter.
Recent new battery.

Reproduction fuel tank with Caswell liner (original tank will be supplied but needs re-lining).
The exhaust is original. It has been repaired at the clamp to the tailpiece at some point in the past, but it looks and functions just fine.
She's ready to ride and enjoy...
I have a large folder containing documents of last owners information on the bike, receipts and lists of new parts, old copies of "On the Beam" and old photographs of the bike for the new owner. I also have copies of the owners manual and the "bedside book" which is really useful.
The bike has been native to the North East all of its life with its 4 previous owners residing in Hartlepool, Redcar, Sunderland and Newton Aycliffe.
I have the original log book showing its original registration and also the modern V5 in my name.
Viewing is recommended and welcomed by prior arrangement only.
Please be patient when waiting on a response to any questions you send as I work varying hours.
Priced Sensibly - Cash on collection or Bank Transfer with cleared funds in my account before I release the bike.
