Here for sale, we have a smart Series 3, which benefits from Tax Exemption thanks to the rolling 40 year VED laws. On the outside, many period features remain such as the Razor Edge Bonnet which was seen on early Series 3s, rear grab handles, mudflaps and bonnet mounted spare. Modern features have been added, such as a towbar and electrics, door mounted mirrors and Free Wheeling Hubs, to reduce front axle wear and increase economy on the period engine.
On the inside, the vehicle is set up in 'Station Wagon' Configuration, with a recent standard seat set in the front with rear bench seats fitted, so 7 people can be carried with ease. Correct and original glass rear sliding windows are fitted to give a nice airy feel, and the vehicle has deluxe matting throughout. Soundproofing is fitted to the top of the roof inside to minimise cabin noise. A smaller steering wheel has also been fitted to allow elbow room and give the driver more space.
Out on the road, the vehicle gives a pleasant period driving experience, and performs just as it should.
