We venture to say that this Lancia Hyena, with just 24 examples built, is an absolute rarity. The mechanicals were based on the four-wheel drive Lancia Delta 16V Integrale EVO, but with the engine tuned up to 250hp. The entirely aluminium body was completely made by hand at Zagato. Carbon fibre was a main component of the interior. The dashboard, centre console and door panels were made of this lightweight composite material. With more horsepower and 200 kilos less weight, the power to weight ratio of this car was considerably better than that of the Delta Integrale. Accordingly, the Hyena accelerated to 100 km/ h in just 5. 4 seconds. The Hyena was expensive, even slightly more expensive than the Porsche 911 Carrera. Perhaps this had something to do with the fact that the production of this ultra-exclusive Coupe ended after just 24 examples, in 1996. Hyenas could be delivered in six colours, and this is probably the only Hyena that came in the colour Verde Zagato. Number “15”, which we are proud to have on offer now, was delivered in Germany in 1994 to the first owner and has covered only 8, 150 km since then. In October 2015, at a mileage of 6, 926 km, the car underwent a major service, which included the renewal of all belts. The corresponding invoice as well as the original brochure are part of the documentation that comes with the car.
