Description
This is an extremely early TR6 (one of the first 100 built) and is one of the oldest known surviving cars. The car has been in storage for many years with only 30, 000 miles showing on the odometer, which are believed to be original, and is an original Jasmine yellow car with black interior. The car came off the road in 1976 and being off the road for so many years has saved the body as it has no signs of rust on the body or substructure. As expected, the interior will need redoing, but it is all still original as is the top with the reflective strips. The engine will need a complete rebuild as it no longer turns over, but items that would typically be changed out like the original bumblebee coolant hoses are still intact – this is a very original car. The only obvious non-original item on the car is the oversized 2” SU carbs, but there is an original set of strombergs with the car as well. All of the rare parts that are unique to the early 1969 TR6’s are present and accounted for and it has its original wire wheels and tires ! This is a very rare and valuable car when restored and is one that we had planned on re-doing ourselves, but there are too many cars to do and not enough hours in the day. This car deserves a full and proper restoration, but it will be a straightforward one. The car is straight and clean with beautiful panel fit. This is a car that cannot be easily replaced. Priced at $8, 800 CDN, which is about 5, 300 GBP. We have shipped many cars worldwide and can help with coordinating shipping. More information at - details above Stock #726
