Rare opportunity to own this 1957 Sunbeam S8 motorbike, which has had a no expense spared restoration to original specification, including a full engine rebuild by renowned Sunbeam specialists Stewart Engineering.
The engine was fitted with new liners, pistons, crankshaft and bearings etc. Cam shafts and Cams by David Newman. New clutch and clutch lever assist system also fitted by Stewart Engineering. Full new exhaust system. New amal carb. Refurbished Altette horn. Wheels rebuilt with british chrome rims, spokes, and Avon tyres. New brake shoes and cables.
The frame and many other parts have been powder coated, and all other parts have been professionally painted. All fittings re-chromed, and petrol tank lined with POR system. All new electrics and refurbished speedometer.
The bike has covered very low milage since restoration, and there is an extensive file of various invoices and correspondence to verify the restoration process. Owners manuals, parts lists, etc. Current V5C with original old style log book, and still bears the original and very valuable transferable registration number.
