Description
The Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is the open-top model of the 2600 series. Apart from the Sprint, it was the best-seller of the three variants, with 2, 255 units sold. Unlike the standard Berlina, the Spider, like the Sprint, was powered by a **** of carburettors instead of two. This improvement increased the engine power, from 130 to 145 hp.
Given the limited production of Spider models, the fact that it marks the end of Alfa Romeo’s line of inline six engines with 2ACT, and its avant-garde and futuristic design for its era, this car has certainly earned an important place in Alfa Romeo’s history.
