Description
The Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is the convertible model of the 2600 series. Aside from the Sprint, it was the best-selling of the three variants, with 2, 255 units sold. Unlike the standard Berlina, the Spider, as well as the Sprint, was powered by a **** of carburettors rather than two. This improvement increased the engine power, from 130 to 145 hp.
Considering the limited production of Spider models, the fact that it marks the end of Alfa Romeo’s inline-six 2ACT engine era, and its avant-garde and futuristic design for the time, this car has certainly earned an important place in Alfa Romeo’s history.
