ALVIS TF21 DHC 1967 Chassis 27428 Finish : Dark blue 18 examples worldwide Last ALVIS built History and invoices since 1967 Exceptional file This car is one of the rare ALVIS TF21 still in circulation among the 18 examples built. A rare model which follows in the footsteps of the TE21 by introducing a certain modernity. Presented in 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show, it was only produced for 1 year. Alvis wanted to offer its upmarket clientele a model that could be used on a daily basis, combining performance, safety and comfort. The engine was a powerful 3-litre 6-cylinder developing 150bhp, fed by 3 SU carburettors. A coupé and a cabriolet version were produced. Only 18 of the latter were produced, including this one.

A car with an exceptional history: we have a list of all its owners, all the repair bills since 1966, all the original booklets and advertisements and full details of its restoration. It was first delivered in 1967 to the Director of Industrial Rentals Ltd in London. There were 7 subsequent owners in the UK! The car did not leave the UK until 2002, when it was exhibited at the Circuit d'Angoulême. It only really began its French life in 2015, after a brief spell in Switzerland. It is now owned by a gentlemen driver on the Côte d'Azur.
This 2-door, 4-seater cabriolet is the work of Swiss coachbuilder Graber (bodywork number 9614). The body was completely dismantled, sandblasted and repainted in the 1990s. The chassis was restored in the 2000s. The alignments are perfect, the paintwork is brilliant and the chrome is original and in excellent condition. The upholstery was redone in the 1980s. Today it shows standard wear and tear, being almost 50 years old! The carpets are in good condition. The soft top is almost new and was changed in 2011. The instrumentation is functional. The electrical system was overhauled in the early 90's. On the mechanical side, many components have been restored, improved or even modernised.
- rebored cylinder block - remanufactured original pistons and new liners - fitted with more modern bearings - bespoke remanufacture of a camshaft capable of operating at a higher compression ratio - fitted with liners with the original 83 mm bore - fitted with modern steel valves, valve seats for unleaded petrol, bronze valve guides - checking of rocker arm angles - replacement of all V155 steel studs The entire suspension was overhauled, with all brass bushes replaced by bearings, spring leaves removed and sandblasted, and shock absorbers replaced.

The original ZF gearbox was opened and restored. The clutch has been replaced, and the power steering system is the original one, fully restored. The car is currently being serviced in a specialist workshop for British classic cars. Such a model is rare on the market, indeed almost non-existent! With just 18 examples to choose from, this is a micro-production... and with an extraordinary historical record.
