Description
Among the most emblematic Italian coupes of the 60s, the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce shines with its sporting heritage. From its release, it drew attention in competition: the base for the famous GTA, it helped Alfa Romeo secure several titles in the European Touring Championship, thanks to its lightness, its precision and its twin-cam engine. A true gentleman-driver car, equally at home on road and on track.
The Alfa Romeo GT Veloce for sale that we present here is a living homage to that spirit. Restored between 2021 and 2024 by expert hands, it combines aesthetic authenticity and contemporary performance.
Externally, its bodywork has recovered its original Bianco Spino colour, subtly aged to give it a patinated finish reminiscent of the finest Alfa collectibles. The restoration was entrusted to a Norman sheet-metal craftsman renowned for his meticulous artisanal work.
Under the bonnet, the magic happens. The engine was fully prepared by Salvatore Zingale, a respected figure in Italian mechanics, famed for his high-performance and reliable Alfa engines. This 2. 0L unit delivers around 160 horsepower, with smooth manners in town, a lively character on back-roads, and perfectly at ease on the motorway.
The mechanicals are complemented by a short five-speed gearbox, a limited-slip differential, Alfaholics suspension and brakes, a Migal stainless-steel exhaust manifold, and period Weber carburettors rebuilt by B2H.
Inside, everything remains original, in exceptional condition. GTA three-spoke steering wheel, semi-bucket seats specific to the Veloce version, instrumentation graduated up to 8000 rpm… everything breathes authenticity and good taste.
Produced in only 14, 240 examples, the Sprint GT Veloce is already a sought-after model. This one, with its Zingale-signed engine, its full stock configuration and its serious restoration, represents a rare opportunity for anyone seeking a true Alfa with character, ready to drive.
