Icon of 1980s rallying, the Renault 5 Turbo 2 impresses with its mid-rear turbo engine and its aggressive profile with widened tracks. A radical and desirable French car, today a true classic.
The model we present is an R5 Turbo II configured Maxi with a F2000 technical passport mounted for competition, which has undergone a high-quality complete restoration giving it an absolutely impeccable presentation.
This rally car is road-legal and can be used as a collectors’ vehicle.
Mechanical condition:
This Renault 5 Turbo 2 has had its engine rebored to 1, 432 cm3, equipped with Porsche-type injection, large aluminium radiator with twin fans. The installed turbo is a Migné unit with boost adjustment on the dashboard.
The vehicle features Tour de Corse-type front and rear suspension, with original Maxi magnesium Speedline wheels.
Shocks revised at DA Competition as well as a flat undertray under the sump.
Gearbox with dog gears, 9x35 autolocking 45%, water spray on the intercooler. The shell has been reinforced with Renault Sport uprights.
Aesthetic condition:
This Renault 5 Turbo 2 has received a Maxi Jean Ragnotti body kit. The fibre kit is in perfect condition, the doors are Turbo I aluminium. The vehicle shows no damage. The paintwork is flawless and the decals faithful to the R5 Turbo II Maxi.
The interior of this R5 has been modified to accommodate a six-point cage and two Sparco Pro 2000 seats, as well as the full set of gauges linked to the vehicle’s proper operation.
