Our Porsche 356 is a 1955 Pre-A:
The current owner bought the car in 2023 through our broker; it had previously been owned by the well-known Porsche 356 racer Jean François Penilard, who completely restored the car. He would helm it in a multitude of races—sixties, fifties, Le Mans Classic, Tour Auto, etc.—notching up many podiums.
The present owner subsequently started several Tour Auto campaigns as well, invariably finishing on the podium, and also at Le Mans Classic.
The car received a new engine two races ago, installed by the French specialist Olivier Auvray (AMS). The car is in a 'race' configuration with FIA GTS specifications; it is fitted with a long bespoke gearbox for Le Mans and is supplied with a short gearbox and transmissions as well as a set of rims. It is now sold ready to race, up-to-date in PTH and eligible for the major historic events such as Tour Auto and Le Mans Classic… this car is the ultimate weapon for winning the performance index.
