Description
The Porsche 911S occupies a special place within the early generations of the 911, embodying the most refined and driver-focused version. Fitted with a high-compression engine fed by twin carburettors, it helped define the standards of the modern sports car. A 1968 model year represents the car in its purest expression: the short-wheelbase versions, before the weight and complexity of subsequent generations, where the relationship between driver and machine remains direct and unfiltered.
The present example is a “matching numbers” car, retaining its original engine and transmission, a feature now essential in the eyes of discerning collectors. It is presented in its original Burgundy Red finish, a deep and particularly elegant colour, perfectly in keeping with the timeless lines of the 911.
The vehicle is equipped with its original Fuchs wheels, recognisable by their five-spoke design introduced on the 911S as early as 1967. Lightweight and iconic, they remain a benchmark in automotive design.
This Porsche 911 underwent a full restoration carried out in the Netherlands between 2008 and 2009. Since its acquisition by its current Belgian owner in 2017, it has been maintained exclusively within the official Porsche network. The restoration is fully documented, with a file including photographs and invoices available on request. Since then, the vehicle has covered only 9, 200 kilometres and presents itself in near‑new condition.
The cabin, faithful to its original configuration, combines black vinyl upholstery with Pepita fabric seat inserts, giving the whole a sober and timeless elegance.
A rare early example of the 911S, perfectly documented and remarkably preserved.
