Description
Launched in 1957, the XK 150 is the latest evolution and the most accomplished of the XK convertibles, with a bodywork featuring softened lines and a single-curvature windscreen. Disc brakes also make their appearance on this model. Its production ended in 1961. The model shown is an XK 150 DHC (Drop Head Coupé) from 1958. It has had only three owners. It was purchased in 1958 in the United States by an airline pilot who kept it until 1988, when it was imported to England where it underwent a complete mechanical restoration with the addition of electric power-assisted steering, a new paint job. A 3. 8-litre S engine producing 265 horsepower replaced its original 3. 4-litre. In 2010 its current owner took delivery and has overseen it ever since, keeping it meticulously maintained, with major work carried out in 2010, 2011 and 2012, more than €50, 000 in invoices and notably the addition of a Borg-Warner 5-speed manual gearbox improving its reliability and fuel efficiency, electronic ignition and a stainless-steel exhaust system, among other things.
