According to the VMCC certificate, this P11 was manufactured by Norton Villiers on 10 July 1967 and then shipped to Berliner, New York, Norton’s official importer in the United States at the time.
The P11 is today regarded as one of Norton’s rarest and most sought-after models from the late 1960s. It pairs the Norton Atlas 750 engine with the Matchless competition frame, designed for the American desert racing market.
The bike presents very well and retains the distinctive lines and presence of true P11s:
- high exhausts in desert sled style
- aluminium mudguards
- tank and side panels faithful to the model’s spirit
- riding position and geometry typical of the P11
Old restoration of high quality, carried out in an authentic spirit without over-restoration to a “museum” level.
The bike starts, runs and rides well.
Excellent road presence, Atlas twin is torquey and the typical character of the English twin of that era.
