Description
Here’s a stunning, fully restored Austin Mini pickup Mk1!
On 12 February 1964, this car leaves the Longbridge production lines. Five days later, it’s delivered to Central Garages in Bradford. We’re in the very earliest years of the Mini commercial, a time when nobody had yet measured what this little truck would go on to represent.
Sixty years on, it presents in a condition that commands respect.
The restoration was entrusted to Nippy Cars (an undisputed reference for the classic Mini in England). A rare level of attention to detail, backed by craftsmanship recognised by collectors all over the world. The original Tweed Grey—BMC’s 1960s factory colour with a discreet, timeless elegance—has been recreated with the precision and depth you only see on truly exceptional restorations.
Everything has been renewed with the same care and the same attention to detail.
Inside, the unique central speedo from the early Mk1 models is in place.
Under the bonnet, the 850cc engine with its original HS2 carburettor runs with the characteristic smoothness of these first-generation mechanicals.
The car is accompanied by its Heritage Certificate issued by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, confirming the chassis, the build date and the original factory paint colour.
On an example from this era, this document is inseparable from the car’s value.
