Description
I am selling an authentic EMPI GTV Beetle, very rare and in exceptional original condition. Never restored, it is in perfect working order and its MOT is clean. The history of EMPI began in 1956 when Joe Vittone and his associate Holt Haughey created Economotors, one of the very first Volkswagen dealerships in the United States. Buoyed by its success and its mechanical enhancement solutions, Mr Vittone founded his own company, European Motors Products Incorporated, better known by the acronym EMPI. In 1966, EMPI unveiled the famous GTV Beetle (Grand Touring Volkswagen). The idea was to deliver it turnkey, pre-equipped with EMPI parts, allowing customization through specific exterior and interior fittings, as well as engine modifications, turning it into a sporty car with a bold style. The story doesn’t end there. In 1973, EMPI was acquired by Mr. Bug, then, in 2018, by Dublin Clark, under the name Euro Motorparts Group. This year, EMPI will celebrate its 70th anniversary. An offer above €30, 000 is required. No exchanges for another cabriolet, estate, coupe or roadster.
