Description
FORD SIERRA COSWORTH
Preserved original specification – Only 61, 200 km and a UK-appropriate classic registration document
Launched in 1988, the Ford Sierra Cosworth in 4-door saloon form (often called the “Sapphire”) was born from Ford’s desire to offer the extraordinary Cosworth-engine performance in a more discreet and elegant body than the original 3-door version.
Hidden beneath a conventional saloon silhouette is a proper asphalt-devouring machine, designed to take on the very best German sporting cars of the time.
Highly prized for its road manners and pure-propulsion temperament, it’s now become an essential icon for enthusiasts of the 1980s and 1990s.
Vehicle presentation
This example stands out for its high level of authenticity and its well-preserved original specification.
It wears its Diamond White paint and its original alloy wheels. The cabin has kept its period-typical equipment that really enhances the vintage feel: a manual sunroof, a Grundig cassette radio, and a 1990s on-board phone—an authentic snapshot of its era.
Advisor’s note: “This vehicle is in original condition, which is rare for this model, which is often modified. The Cosworth 4-cylinder unit has an enchanting sound without going over the top—you can feel the raw power, yet the drive is still enjoyable and very typical of the 80s/ 90s. A family car with just 61, 000 km, to be snapped up quickly.”
