This Pagode is presented in remarkable condition. The body has been completely stripped and repainted in its original Papyrus White colour in October 2024, with a particularly careful finish.
The chrome has either been restored or replaced with genuine Mercedes-Benz parts. The beige hood is in perfect condition, and the original hardtop has also recently been restored.
The cabin offers a very pleasing presentation. The seat springs were replaced in 2019 and the entire interior is exceptionally well preserved. Only the period radio is no longer functional.
On the mechanical side, the 2. 5L injection straight-six runs perfectly. The injection pump has been overhauled and the exhaust line was replaced in 2019.
HISTORY
Delivered new in Colorado (USA), this 250 SL was bought by its current owner in 2008 from Exotic Motor Cars in Palm Springs before being imported into France in 2017.
It comes with a clear history and a substantial file detailing its journey between the United States and France, supported by many original invoices and documents.
A DESIRABLE PAGODE
This Pagode has been converted to the highly prestigious ZF 5-speed manual gearbox, carried out using a complete, specific kit including the gearbox, linkage and the appropriate clutch components. Additional improvements were made in France to ensure precise, particularly enjoyable operation.
Today, this transmission delivers real driving pleasure while also making this example highly appealing to collectors.
