Please read the advert, thank you. I’m reluctantly selling this Honda 250 XLR MD03 because, unfortunately, I don’t really use it much. It’s a healthy bike for enjoying off-road and it’s light enough for the city. Not for purists, as the rear indicators aren’t original, nor is the headlight shell, and the mirrors are 600 XLR items. Unfortunately, the luggage rack has been cut off — I never do things like that. You can find one second-hand.
The previous owner carried out all the engine repairs; it runs like a clock, starts very well and easily, doesn’t smoke and there are no oil leaks. I’ve done a recommissioning and it’s still strong and lively for its 44 years. Mileage not guaranteed. Registration paperwork is up to date in my name; the MOT will be carried out for the sale.
I’ve replaced the chain kit, the front and rear brake pads/ shoes, the tyres, and fitted a new gel battery.
Reliable and simple bike—either for having fun straight away or for putting back together to be properly original and tidy. You can still find replacement parts. A few minor dents/ scrapes, but nothing serious; it still presents very well. Please contact me only if you’re genuinely really interested, and no negotiating by message—I won’t reply.
