Launched in 1968, the Triumph TR6 fitted with its proven 2. 5-litre straight-six engine, but with a new, wider and more muscular body, enjoyed phenomenal success in the United States. More than 90% of the cars produced were exported during its eight years of production. This period coincided with the absolute peak of the SCCA racing series (Sports Car Club of America) and, as a result, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to run the very latest Triumph. Ironically, the first TR6 to hit the track in 1968 wasn’t a TR6 at all, but a TR250 whose bodywork had been rebuilt by Triumph’s American genius, Kas Kastner. Kastner’s reputation was legendary: he built Triumph cars and racing engines that no one else could match, whether within the SCCA or abroad—including Triumph’s works team.
Proudly wearing its Kas Kastner livery, this 1972 TR6 was professionally restored in 2016 and won the Triumph Competition Championship in 2021. Fully optimised, this TR6 can compete at the very top level of the YTCC or return to the front of the field in the Triumph Competition and British HTGT championships. The car is also eligible for many other international races.

Powertrain
• 2. 5 L engine producing 220 HP, dedicated entirely to racing; machining, balancing and strengthening carried out by Total Performance Germany.
