Description
If there's one quintessentially British roadster worth mentioning, the MG (Morris Garages) B is almost certainly it. This model, produced in over 500, 000 (!) examples between 1962 and 1980, naturally went through 4 versions during its 18-year production run…
You'll find roughly 350, 000 convertible versions and 150, 000 coupé versions (known as the GT). As a bit of trivia, before being dethroned by the Mazda MX5, the MG B convertible was the best-selling convertible in the world!
NYC's is offering for sale a truly lovely example of an MG B in white with black leather interior, showing less than 47, 000 km on the clock. Delivered new in September 1970, it became Belgian and has remained so since September 2001. Its current owner has had it since July 2024 (46, 030 km on the clock) and has decided to sell it due to lack of time to enjoy it. He'd purchased it from a classic car specialist (it was his personal car).
The bodywork is in good condition: no dents, no scratches and no corrosion except on the boot floor. Our asking price reflects this area that needs attention.
Otherwise, everything is in order, including the bumper and windscreen chrome, the hood which is in excellent condition, etc.
The interior is really in superb condition, whether it's the seats, dashboard, door panels, centre console, carpets… not forgetting that sublime Moto-Lita steering wheel!
Regarding the mechanics, we unfortunately don't have service invoices, however, we were able to drive over 30 km to bring it to our premises and can confirm it runs very well.
The last MOT report dates from July 2024 (46, 030 km) and mentions no technical issues.
A lift is available at our premises to show you the underside of the vehicle.
