Willys CJ-2A 1947 – Meticulous Restoration, Registered as Historic Vehicle
For sale: a Willys CJ-2A, 1947 model year, carefully restored, in original Harvest Tan colour.
Restoration was completed in 2020. The vehicle subsequently obtained individual registration in Austria as a historic vehicle. Fewer than 500 km have been covered since restoration completion – mechanical and cosmetic condition excellent, virtually as new.
Restoration scope:
• Original Go-Devil L134 engine fully overhauled, hardened valve seats (compatible with unleaded petrol)
• Original carburettor professionally serviced and tuned, original oil-bath air filter
• Original gearbox and transfer box fully overhauled
• Both original axles and braking system fully overhauled
• Radiator completely rebuilt, with new core (honeycomb)
• New shock absorbers, underside fully preserved
• Electrical system converted to 12V, new wiring harness, H4 headlights
• High-quality reproduction bodywork, rust-free, professionally painted in Harvest Tan
Original attachment points for soft top present (soft top itself not included in sale). Complete restoration documentation with photographs and invoices, original owner's manual, parts lists and two crates of spare parts supplied with the vehicle.
