This Delage is an exceptional sight; you don't often see one with the original Torpedo bodywork and the 820 x 120 beaded-edge rims.
This rare Delage DE has been in the Netherlands for over 50 years.
During the 1970s and 1980s, it was restored by the renowned collector M. Smits, a passionate enthusiast of exceptional French motorcars.
The car has been in the possession of its current owner since 2000, who has used it extensively within the Pionier Automobielen Club (PAC) in the Netherlands and abroad.
In recent years, the engine has been completely overhauled; the cylinder block has been replaced with a new cast-iron block, featuring new valves and new piston rings.
The engine runs perfectly again and starts very easily on the test bench. The ignition has been converted to electronic ignition with a separate coil.
The bodywork, built by J. Besset of Annonay (Ardèche), can accommodate 5 people. The hood, easy to open and close, is covered with a hood cover when open. The car is equipped with a double windscreen, two spare wheels, shock absorbers and a carefully finished dashboard.
