HISTORY
Presented in 1958 under the name Renault Floride, then quickly marketed as the Caravelle, this elegant French motor car was styled by Italian designer Pietro Frua, in collaboration with Ghia. Technically derived from the Dauphine, it retained its rear-engine mechanics whilst adopting a refined and original design, conceived to evoke the elegance and easy living of the cabriolets of the era. Produced until 1968, the Floride/ Caravelle has since established itself as one of the most iconic Renaults of that period.
DESCRIPTION
This Caravelle, presented with its hard-top, appeals above all through its elegant white configuration with red interior, particularly bright and full of character. It is a sound motor car that drives very well and proves easy and pleasant to handle. It displays some minor paint defects and light corrosion, consistent with its age, but retains a fine overall presentation. Its history is also interesting, as its previous owner has held it since 1986. An authentic and endearing Caravelle, ready to take to the road and revive the charm of the 1960s.
