For financial reasons, I am parting with this Citroën 2CV Charleston - a heartfelt purchase, first registered on 03/ 03/ 1982, in Helios Yellow AC306 / Black AC200 colours, making it the rarest model in the range (fewer than 1, 000 examples produced). It was recently (2025) registered as a classic vehicle (MOT every five years).
This 2CV underwent a complete restoration from 2013 to January 2014, including chassis, engine and mechanical components, carried out to the highest standards by Citroën specialists (numerous photos and invoices available).
The restoration philosophy was to use almost exclusively original parts, including for chassis replacement. The bodywork elements that were changed are original parts from the car's year of manufacture. This is therefore by no means a replica, but a genuinely authentic vehicle whose value will only continue to increase.
The only compromise concerns the installation of electronic ignition, which is far more reliable, as is almost always the case when restoring these classic ladies.
Various small mechanical components have been replaced or added over the past two years, such as the fuel gauge, high-tension harness, starter motor, CV joint gaiters, switches and warning lights, rear parcel shelf etc., so as to keep the car 100% thrilling.
A complete financial history since its purchase in late 2012 for restoration by a collector will be available (during a viewing) and attests to a financial investment to date of nearly €15, 000 to restore this classic to its former glory, justifying, if needed, the asking price.
Upon completion of restoration, the vehicle showed 17, 400 km on the odometer, now standing at 30, 000 km. It has therefore averaged 1, 000 km per year since, driven carefully by enthusiasts and always garaged.
The vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition, with a sound chassis, quality interior trim, and in very good overall condition.
A major service (all fluids included) was carried out in spring 2025 and routine maintenance this year.
