Citroën 2CV 1961 – Collector's Vehicle – Excellent Original Condition – Exceptional Family History
For sale, a 1961 Citroën 2CV in excellent preserved condition, offered in its original specification.
This is a particularly interesting example from a historical perspective: the vehicle has remained within the same family since it entered service in 1961 until 2026, passed down from grandfather to grandson. I am only the second owner.
The car demonstrates careful preservation and moderate use:
The car demonstrates careful preservation and moderate use:
Soft top, floor pan and fuel tank replaced in keeping with the vehicle's character
Interior in new Bayadère fabric, currently being fitted
Front and rear bumpers replaced with new items conforming to original specification
Front and rear trim strips and mouldings also replaced with new items conforming to original specification

Recent servicing before sale: full overhaul, spark plugs, contact breaker points, MOT up to date.
This 2CV has never undergone a major restoration. The paintwork is original, retaining its authenticity and period charm. The vehicle has always been garaged and has seen very little use.
The structure is sound, with minimal corrosion, making it a rare example in this state of preservation.
An authentic and consistent 2CV, ideal for the discerning collector or enthusiast of historic vehicles seeking a car that is reliable, sound and steeped in history.
