It is powered by a 6. 3-litre Ford 390 FE V8, producing around 440 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque, mated to a four-speed Ford Top Loader manual gearbox. The design of the HTMs reflects a particularly demanding pursuit of authenticity. Their tubular architecture, proportions and many mechanical components draw directly on the original Cobras, with substantial interchangeability of parts. This closeness to the historic models is also carried forward in the marque's history: in 1996, Tom Di Antonio, founder of HTM, joined Carroll Shelby to take part in the production of the CSX4000 continuation Cobras. A careful restoration, respectful of the car's character This example has benefited from an extensive restoration and upgrade programme, representing more than 40, 000 euros of work, the main stages of which are documented. Its exterior was completely refreshed in 2022, with a new paint in Canepa Blue, whose depth and nuances beautifully highlight the sculptural lines of the Cobra. The 15-inch Halibrand wheels, restored in a satin black finish, and the side exhausts, treated with a high-temperature ceramic coating, contribute to its unmistakably sporting look. The cabin has received the same care, with restored leather upholstery and renewed carpets, preserving the spartan, authentic atmosphere typical of these cars. A mechanical character, combined with relevant technical improvements The appeal of this HTM does not lie solely in its aesthetic fidelity. Its mechanical configuration and the improvements made over time also make it a particularly accomplished car. The Ford 390 FE, prized for its character and generous torque, is fed by a 750 CFM Holley carburettor and fitted with an MSD electronic ignition system. Its cooling relies on a high-capacity Fluidyne aluminium radiator, supplemented by additional ventilation. A bespoke fuel tank also contributes to the overall upgrade. The transmission is entrusted to a four-speed Ford Top Loader, a historic reference inseparable from Cobras with Ford FE engines. A chassis faithful to the original, optimised for driving pleasure The architecture of the HTM chassis follows the construction principles of the historic Cobras, with a tubular structure whose main members feature a stated steel thickness of 2. 5 mm. The running gear has received particular attention, with a thorough overhaul of the joints, locating components and steering parts. The QA1 threaded coilovers allow fine-tuning of the suspension, while the braking relies on 310 mm ventilated discs paired with four-piston Wilwood calipers.
