Vehicle history: The Maserati 3500 GT was a ***** success in the 1950s and 1960s, thanks to its design by the Milan coachbuilder Touring, and its famous lightweight tubular Superleggera chassis. From 1960, fuel injection was added to the model, giving the engine 15 more horsepower. Our car was completely restored in the 2000s and has been properly maintained since, and it is today in perfect condition, ready to hit the road. Mechanical condition: The mechanicals were restored in 2005 in the Paris region by M Camerano, to the highest standards, and all the ancillaries were also restored. The mechanicals of this 3500 GTi have been properly maintained since then and are today in perfect condition. The cylinder head was converted to unleaded in 2015, with new valve guides, re-cut valve seats and face-skimmed. The car is pleasant to drive, the roadholding is very good, the steering is precise and the gearchanges are smooth and effortless. A stainless steel exhaust system adds a lovely sound to the engine. Exterior condition: The bodywork was redone in the 2000s in the Paris region, respecting the specialist techniques required for an aluminium body. The paintwork looks very good overall, and the grey colour shows off the beautiful lines of the Touring bodywork. The panel alignment is good, the chrome is in perfect condition, and the grille elements were replaced with new parts in 2016. The wire wheels are well preserved, and the 15-inch tyres are in good condition. Interior condition: The interior was also refurbished in the 2000s. The tan leather upholstery is in perfect condition, and the front and rear seats are as good as new. The tan leather door trims are also in perfect condition.
