The Appeal
The Peugeot 304 Cabriolet represents one of the more elegant and understated French convertibles of the 1970s, with its clean Pininfarina-designed lines and compact proportions, boasting a 1.3-litre Engine that offered a comparatively impressive 65 bhp for its lightweight, compact nature.
Sadly, the 304 - as with many French cars of this era - proved prone to corrosion, and has become a rare sight on British soil. Only 26 examples are known to remain, and few quite as solid as this brightly presented yellow example, affectionately known as 'Rhubarb'. One of only 869 right-hand drive cabriolets built, it's a very nicely kept example of a particularly scarce car.
For collectors of rare French classics, this is a fabulous opportunity. A rare chance to acquire what the vendor believes to be one of the finest surviving examples of this increasingly scarce model.
