The Attractions

Over the years, Maserati has certainly proved to be stubborn and courageous. The Trident company's desire to express the full potential of its famous Bi-Turbo, offering the best possible version of it, led to the creation of this car, christened simply and appropriately Racing.

These cars underwent extensive modifications compared to the original model. In addition to the redesigned Shamal-style nose, they offered a vastly improved 24-valve 2L twin-turbo V6 engine that, thanks to lighter connecting rods, a higher compression ratio and a new crankshaft, delivered 290 hp. It was the most powerful 2L engine in the world at the time of its launch. A new five-speed Getrag gearbox and Koni adjustable active dampers were also adopted.

Only 230 were produced, of which 173 were sold in Italy. This is one of them. Very elegant in its classic Nero Dazing colouring with a beautiful interior upholstered in grey leather and alcantara, it is a car in excellent condition, with correct and matching serial numbers and colours. It has covered only 122,389 km since new in the hands of five owners.

Before being offered for sale, this car underwent a thorough overhaul worth €7,000 in November 2024. The work is documented by photographs and included a complete service, replacement of the clutch, and new timing belt and water pump. The brakes and suspension have also received attention and the whole car has been carefully tuned. This Maserati is accompanied by detailed documentation of its history and the maintenance it has received over the years and will be sold with a newly renewed overhaul.
