The company Delage was founded in 1905 by Louis Delage and in the following decades it was one of the big names among the French automobile manufacturers. The particular emphasis was placed on exclusive and sportive automobiles, which in particular were enjoying huge popularity amongst demanding customers. Individually “dressed” by the best coachbuilders of their time, Delage won several Conours d´Elegance.
The car was presented at the Concours d'Elegance of Cannes in the summer of 1934, where it won the Coupe de l'Elegance. Then it was sold to Mr Olivier de Hollier de Nointel, who, very happy with his purchase, kept the car for more than thirty years. In 1966, the car found a second owner in the person of Madame Denquin who, again, kept the car for another thirty years. Finally the car underwent an extensive restoration in France under the direction of its third owner. Four years later the car was acquired by French connoisseurs who participated in many marque tours and rallies.
This Delage coupe comes in the beautyful colour combination black, interior dark blue and is a real sportive and elegant vehicle and due to its original Etienne Brandone Body an absolute rare piece for collectors.
The car has a 6-cylinder-engine with 4 Liter cubic capacity and 1 carburettor.
