1990 XR3i high spec late model.
71450 miles.
Just 4 previous owners.
V5 present in my name.
Came out of long term storage last year with a lot of money spent to pass MoT.
MoT October 20th 2019, only advisory were tyres which have now been replaced all around.
ABS
Heated windscreen
Interior
All original seats without rips, would benefit from re-stitching in a couple of areas. Drivers bolster material not worn through. Has factory trip computer (see picture) and original Ford stereo with original period Ford graphic equaliser and joystick for balance and fade control. Central locking and electric windows and mirrors all in working order. All plastics in great condition. Manual sunroof works.
Mechanical
Engine revs and performs superbly, new brakes and rear springs. Many new parts and leads in engine which presents superbly and is later EFI version. Clutch and gearbox all strong.
Underneath
Please see pictures and have more if you need them. New centre to back box exhaust. All chassis legs and sills look good, evidence of some previous repairs making the structure sound. Boot floor good with spare full size alloy wheel.
Exterior
To make top notch the car would benefit from a full respray currently the bonnet is very good but the paint elsewhere has faded, and some corrosion to tackle around the sunroof, 2 wheelarches, scuttle panel and around rear wiper. The windscreen is sealed but starting to delaminate ( replacement £51 on eBay). Both front and rear bumpers in good condition.
Same key operates all locks.
Rear spoiler excellent as are wing mirrors and all alloy wheels.
So an original car that needs attention to bodywork on a sound structure.
I’ve had quite a bit of interest so I would recommend viewing to assess the car and the work required.
