Ford Escort cabriolet 1991 this car was built in 91 from a bare shell (hence the Q plate) brought from Fords, It was made up from a written off Escort RS turbo everything from wiring loom to the bodykit was put on this car, It has the Escort RS turbo engine and gearbox the interior is I believe Escort cabriolet Tennis edition half leather Recaro (light grey) the car benefits from a full stainless exhaust system (only a 3" tail pipe) the car has 5 RS turbo alloys all perfect with excellent tyres. also the engine has been slightly tuned to approx 170-180bhp.
The power roof works perfectly, Electric windows all work, mechanically the vehicle is good the gearbox is fine clutch and brakes are all sound.
The car also has a full years MOT on it, it has never seen any welding underneath, The car has a cd multi changer in the boot standard speakers etc no massive amp or anything like that! The car drives well its nice to drive about in the summer with the roof down etc it sounds fantastic while on boost.
Now for the bad bits! the car has been sitting in a garage for sometime it has only covered about 100 miles in approx 3/ 4 years during this time the lacquer has started to go flakey so In my opinion (and I am very fussy) it could benefit from a paint job to freshen it all up.
The car was a cat D in 1996, The windscreen has a couple of chips on but was ok for the MOT. The drivers seat has the usual wear on the bolster I've been quoted £135 to make this like new.
Please bear in mind that this car is now nearly 30 years old its not showroom condition although there's no rot or anything like that.
The car has been garaged pretty much all of its life I got the car from a friend who is nearly 70 years old (he needed a car with power steering!) he owned this car for nearly 20 years! only 4 previous owners.
