Description
This 1973 MGB roadster 1800 with overdrive is one of my own personal mgs which was subject to a major refurbishment at the end of 2017. The car has had just one owner prior to myself and still has the MG service passport.
The vehicle was purchased in 2017 with a lot of paperwork for previous repairs and restoration work carried out prior. In brief at that point the car was stripped down to a shell and had the sills replaced along with inner and outer rear arches , floor panels and other repairs. The car was placed on a rotisserie and stripped off underneath and then isolated , painted with 2 coats of hammerite then fully black waxed. The shell had replacement doors and a full bare metal 2k repaint in original teal blue. The car was then fully wax oiled then rebuilt with new/ reconditioned parts consisting of but not limited to
: fully detailed engine bay all parts sand blasted and powder coated
Engine stripped , crank ground, new oil pump, shells bearings etc.
New radiator, alternator, electronic ignition, clutch and more.
New chrome bumpers , grille, trims etc
New hood, tonneau, carpets, cockpit panels , re upholstered seats
New alloy wheels and 4 new tyres
All new light units.
The panel fit is excellent as is the finish of the car. I have receipts for thousands of pounds with MGB hive along with many others. The car was done to a truly excellent standard and needs to be viewed to fully appreciate. The car runs and drives beautifully and always draws a crowd at the shows . This is only a very brief description of the works carried out.
I am selling the vehicle due to purchasing a morgan and as my wife says you cant drive them all. I will put a new 12 month MOT on the car at sale point but the car is TAX/ MOT exempt. I can assist with delivery if needed.
