Description
Here we have a totally stunning Mk1 Ford Fiesta XR2 with a factory fitted sunroof. This car has been meticulously maintained and unmolested over the past 26 years and has undergone a full restoration within the last few years. The key features of this 80's classic are as follows:-
Registered 1st August 1983, Supplied with a comprehensive history including 17 past MOT Certificates, the car has done 88493 miles believed to be genuine based on the history file and has only covered an average of 750 miles per year over the last 10 years. The car is taxed until end August 09 and MOT'd Until April 2010.
The car still has the original single key that fits the ignition, opens all doors, boot, even the petrol filler cap, everyone knows the locks were the first to go in the 80's joy riding days but this one escaped. All of the graphics are original and are now just showing a little age with very slight fading but once more proves the originality of this car as these original graphics have not been available to buy for many years. The pale grey striped cloth interior is unmarked and showing no sights of wear what so ever, all of the foam within the seat bases and side wings of the seats are perfect the rear seat looks as if it has never been sat on. The car has many Genuine Ford aftermarket products such as 7 spoke RS Alloys, Leather RS Steering Wheel, Fabric Headrest Inserts, Second Fog Light, Internally Adjustable Door Mirror, Genuine 1983 Ford Front And Rear Rubber Mats etc etc it also has a Sony CD Player with the large rear speakers embedded in the parcel shelf as per the 80's fitment.
The cars engine is beautifully quiet, clutch and gear box are perfect in every way and all electrics, internal switches and gauges work perfectly.
This car has recently been used in an 80's Documentary for the BBC, they required an XR2 which filmed as a brand new showroom car and was given as a gift to a famous persons son (cannot say to much) but never the less this cars originality and condition ticked all the boxes for them need I say more regarding how immaculate it is.
