Ford Prefect 107E - 1960
997cc OHV engine, 4 speed gear box.
Very good condition mechanically and cosmetically. Easily ready to show over the summer as is.
There is some bubbling on the back doors (see pictures) but this doesn't look urgent. The car was restored around 10 years ago and has been garaged ever since. For a 59 year old car the overall body work is very good.
Mechanically the car has proved to be very reliable, and doesn't have an issue starting, even in colder weather. It has covered just under 75, 000 miles according to the odometer. Included in the sale are lots of spares, including a gearbox from an Anglia 105E, which can be used for parts if required. It hasn't got an unleaded head, so lead additive needs to be added, but a bottle and a half of this is also included in the sale, as is a car cover which is still usable and protective.
I have manuals for the car, as well as dealership brochures and the car comes with 3 sets of keys.
This is an ideal first time classic car.
Genuine reason forces a very reluctant sale.
