1970 Jaguar Series 2 E Type Roadster in Maroon.
It isn't often that we see original cars like this in a rust free condition and this is why this car was carefully selected by the current owner. The paintwork is superb with excellent shut lines. Mechanically, the car is excellent. The interior is very good.
I personally drove this car for 2 hours with no issues. The oil pressure is good and it didn't overheat in standing traffic.
Imported from a dry state in the US, it was converted to RHD and bought up to UK Spec with the correct triple SU carburettors.
As the owner wanted the car for mainly Continental touring, the gearbox was replaced with a 5 speed and various underbonnet components changed for the sake of reliability.
The engine and rear axle are as fitted to the car by the factory in 1970.
Comes with a large history file.
We welcome any inspection of the vehicle.
Prior to delivery to the new owner, the car will go through our workshops for a thorough checkover and service.
