After many years of successful rallying, it's time to let someone else enjoy my fabulous Ford Cortina 1500. I've been tempted by a Fulvia HF!
My Cortina has been lovingly cared for, and kept ready for the next rally. She remains very presentable and competitive.
Fully prepared by Maurice Jennings, who built the Healey 3000 for Stirling Moss to do the Pirelli Classic Marathon.
Shell gusseted and strengthened. Full Safety Devices Roll Cage.
Foam filled alloy tank, Facet fuel pump and battery
in the boot.
Support for 2 spare wheels.
Suspension:-
Adjustable Leda front struts and uprated springs. GT cast lower control arms. Reinforced negative camber cross member. 3/ 4" anti-roll bar.
Uprated rally spec rear shocks, springs and 2" lowering blocks.
Normal handbrake lever to replace GT umbrella handle.
Rear axle GT locating anti tramp bars. 9" drums.
Low ratio LSD diff.
Engine fully lightened and balanced , Kent rally cam, high compression forged pistons, "big wing" high volume sump.
Twin 40 Webers with air box and filter.
4 branch exhaust manifold, and wide bore skidded system.
Alloy sump guard.
Gearbox, fresh 2000E.
10 Minilite style wheels.
Retro trip, Sparco seats, harnesses, Cibie spots and fully fused and relayed harness complete the picture for a purposeful and competitive car.
Ready for next rally be it Le Jog or Monte Carlo!
