Welcome to the sale of my classic Mercedes Motorhome.
The van is in grate condition for its age and includes all the creature comforts you would expect to find in a far more modern camper.
I have just returned from a 900mile trip where the van performed flawlessly and would happily do it all again if I didn’t have to go back to work.
The mechanicals:
Unsurprisingly for an old merc van everything is spot on there are no mechanical issues that I am aware of.
Fitted with the fantastically robust and dependable 2. 4L non turbo Diesel engine, not the fastest thing going! But with happy plod along all day at 55mph
(Providing it’s not to hilly)
In my ownership I have.
Fitted a complete new exhaust system
New radiator
Full brake overhaul
Service every 6000miles
Cab and chassis:
All original and never welded!
There is odiously age related marks and odd spots of rust, but most importantly it hasn’t been bogged up with filler.
Coachbuilt camper body:
It’s 35years old so please be realistic in your expectations
There is some small areas of damage and general age related wear and tear but nothing that detracts from the overall very smart appearance.
Most importantly with any coachbuilt camper of this age no leeks.
Interior:
Hot and cold running water 90L fresh water tank.
Shower, toilet, 3way fridge, hob, grill, oven, gas heating.
240v hook up.
12v leisure battery and split charge
Really good size kitchen and work surface, more storage that you’ll probably no what to do with.
Two double beds one over cab and sofa and dinning area fold down into huge double bed.
Only for sale as I have always wanted to convert my own van from scratch, I have now nearly finished the conversation of my other van and having two is just greedy!
