1991 Citroen Ax Gt5 track car project.
This is a Gt5 that I bought around ten years ago. It had a dead Gt engine and was rusty so It was decided to build a fast road/ track car with it.
Its now in around its third incarnation and is fitted with a LAD Motorsport ported and cammed Saxo vts engine.
From the bulkhead forwards is seam welded.
The car needs the dashboard and engine looms finishing. There is a poverty spec dashboard loom and saxo vts clocks with wiring included.
It does run and can be driven for loading.
Also various other small jobs.
Spec is as follows,
1. 6 16v Saxo vts engine
Later 2 prong head ported and polished by L. A. D. motorsport
Catcam 708 cams
Single plug saxo vts ecu with a pugsport map for intake and exhaust mods.
Raceland 4-2-1 exhaust manifold
Magnex full stainless exhaust with twin exit pipes
CDA Carbon fibre air intake
106 Xsi gearbox with quaife differential
4 paddle clutch
Alloy quick shift kit
Constella Aluminium gearbox linkage selector rods
Lightweight spoox alternator setup
Spoox Billet alloy auxiliary pulleys
Polyurethane lower engine mount
Vibra Technics Gearbox mount
Fully seam welded engine bay, bulkhead and front suspension mounts
Spoox Saxo three bolt strengthening damper top plates, lower bracing and wishbone pickups seam welded in.
Bulkhead top removed for extra space and new cabin air intake fabricated.
Saxo vts four stud front struts. Four stud saxo rear beam
Vts torsion bars and Peugeot sport rear anti roll bar
D2 coilovers with adjustable top mounts
Front wishbones and anti roll bar fitted with powerflex poly bushes
Peugeot 206 front discs and callipers
Peugeot 406 23mm brake master cylinder
Compomotive Motorsport Mo5 alloy wheels in 14”
Dunlop Sport blue response 185/ 55 tyres
Racetech oil pressure and water temperature gauge
Spl radiator fan
Varley red top 20 lightweight sealed battery with spoox mount
