i doubt many of you have ever seen a "Panaorama" model (6 fixed windows and one opening on the roof, factory fitted) in reality. even me, being nearly 50yrs into Fords, can t remember to have seen one on the road.
built in June 75, this Transit was reg in August the same year and has 2 registered owners documentented in the V5 equivalent Austrian papers. it was taken off the road in November 2011 and since then stored in a garden. as you can see, the Transit suffered from outside storage over the years and was repainted in a very bad way. But tbh it looks worse in the pics, as the paint flaked off. but of course it is in need of full restoration and is nothing for the faint hearted and not to be done in a week. this Transit got a nos Diesel engine fitted in early 2000 which has done only 7 tsd km since, unfortunately it seized over the years. if it wasn t the rare and rather unknown Panorama model, i wouldn t dare to offer it and break it rather, but it would be a shame to do this (if it was a VW T1 it would probably cost a fortune). initially it was a 12 seater, that was changed due to silly regulations over here to a 9seater. i won t bore you with more words, just one thing, it has already disc brakes in the front.
i would be glad, if some brave one would restore it to former glory and to see it back on the road again.
of course the minibus is NOT driveable, has NO MOT and has to be collected over here in Austria, very close to German border near the town Passau.
