This 521 pickup was bought new on June 24, 1969 by William Brannen in his home town of Mactier, Ontario from Riva Motors. The truck spent most of its life with William who apparently never drove it in the snow. It had been parked every winter since new, hence why it is so solid for an Ontario vehicle. When it was sold in 2010 by William’s daughter it still had the original tires on it. These little work trucks are getting increasingly rare as they tended to rust out very easily. Used as work trucks they were tough but were often beat to death. This truck is entirely original other having a repaint in the original pale green in 2010. The only reason it was repainted was because William was a farmer and it had some scratches from trees down his driveway.
The best thing about this little truck is that it can still work! You can have a collectible vehicle that allows you to go pick up things at the hardware store and enjoy the ride at the same time. It runs very well but is not too fast! It does however put a smile on your face.
