Well this is something quite special, in fact its outstanding and in terms of power, performance and noise it is outrageous! This really is an awesome machine that’s been driven over to us from Amsterdam having been owned by a European collector who likes to be able to jump into any of his classics at a moment’s notice and drive them across Europe. In the past two years the Ford F100 has driven over for the 2018 Goodwood Revival and in 2019 participated in the Amsterdam Classic Car run and Harz Mountain Classic Meeting in Germany and has proven faultless on the road and completely reliable.
This Ford F100 Truck originally came over to the UK around 30 years ago with an incredible spec to include Chevy 350 V8 Crate Motor, TH350 automatic transmission, Mustang II Clip with power steering, disc brakes, electric exhaust cut out, heater, custom alloy wheels and sound system. As result the Ford is furiously quick, has fantastic smooth gear changes and its exhaust system sounds fantastic.
Between 2013 and 2014 the Ford had considerable expenditure with invoices on file for almost £17, 500. This included coil over shocks, upper and lower suspension arms, new steering joint, wheel bearings and hub seals, fitting a Wilwood brake kit, booster power brake servo, master cylinder, rear brake shoes, LED bulbs, speedo gear, exhaust gaskets and flanges, new transmission cross member, and mountings, replacement rear axle and various servicing and general maintenance. Other work included cutting out corrosion from lower doors, professionally repairing with new metal, rebuilding the doors and re-painting. Over 5000 miles have been covered since this work.
The F100 has arrived with us in it's stunning colour combination and presents very well with a lovely paint finish. The rear bed has been fitted with a superb wood floor and this has recently been stripped, treated and polished and looks excellent. The interior has nicely aged since the trucks restoration and presents incredibly well. The engine bay is impressive, the V8 is superb, clean and performance is outstanding. This is a F100 to drive and must be test driven to be properly appreciated. Its powerful, quick, demands attention but importantly is ultra-reliable, usable, and great fun. The F100 is UK registered and ready to use and enjoy.
