We are delighted to present for sale this handsome Series 2a, presented in popular Light Pastel Green with Limestone Wheels and Sand Canvas.
As the photos show, this vehicle is largely standard – there are lots of period features such as the recent canvas and front bumper, wing-top mounted mirrors, razor edge bonnet, vintage plates and rear grabhandles. The bodywork is of a spray-type finish which is good to see too, rather than a brush type finish. A towball and electrics have been added in order to allow towing, and this is also height adjustable depending on what you wish to tow, which is a useful feature. Combining all this together, makes in our opinion, a really great looking Land Rover®!
The interior houses a pair of deluxe seats to the front, with a centre cubby box with cupholders… handy for those trips for a coffee or a McDonalds, or if you need to store something out of sight. There is deluxe matting to the footwells and deluxe door cards too – this gives a more luxurious feel and makes it a pleasing place to sit. The rear houses a pair of bench seats with a rear load mat to the floor, this gives seating for six people including the driver.
Out on the road, this Series 2a drives just as you’d expect – the petrol engine is a fit and quiet unit, and the larger rubber gives better gearing and fuel economy, aided by the free wheeling hubs. It delivers a pleasing period drive one would expect.
