Owned the car for 4 years and it was my daily driver for a year. I always wanted one back in the day and dint think I would ever find one as they are so thin on the ground now. The car is in good overall condition with a few age related marks. The car has been painted at some point and polishes up well.
It recently went through a MOT and there are a few advisories, including some for early signs of corrosion on the sills around the seat belt anchorages and some on the front chassis rails. The front chassis rails are surface only from scraping a speed hump. I have taken the skirts off and there are over plated repairs which looks like they were done some time ago. The corrosion looks localised and an easy cut out and replace job I also have a Volcane Td which was far worse the other typical Zx corrosion spots are all good. A good fabricator would repair the sills in a couple of days. The sills will be covered by the skirts so any repaint will be localised.
The car pulls well and has a pretty immaculate interior for its miles. The 2. 0i 16v was robbed from so many cars to end up in 205's and they are very unknown. The car has a quick shift kit fitted and a solid lower engine mount these are the only things I have found that are not stock.
The timing belts were replaced in 2018 shortly after I bought the car as were a set of new tyres that have done very little miles. It is missing the timing belt cover but I have most parts and the missing bits are still available and they will go with the car.
There are around 50 of these left in the UK and they are the forgotten hot hatch of the 90s. The car in my view is a gem and with a bit of TLC could be made very very nice. The car drives very well despite the 144k miles. The values off these can only go up with time.
