The Lotus Mark VIII was the first aerodynamic spaceframe car designed by Colin Chapman hence an important history with Lotus Cars which eventually lead to the very significant Lotus Eleven design.
An ideal opportunity to have a Lotus VIII at a fraction of the cost of an original car. The car is 95% complete with original rear panel, side panels, bonnet and boot lid with new front nose and front wings. Ken Nicolls reproduction chassis in correct specification, new wire wheels specially made, Lotus VIII/ IX diff housing, MG XPAG engine needing rebuild and repaired Laystall head, twin SU carburettors rebuilt, De Dion tube with brackets but require welding. Correct suspension, original Lotus radiator, fabricated clutch and racing pedals, machined hubs, E93A steering wheel, correct steering column and some instruments.
