1991 Jaguar XJR-s
This car is a genuine, JaguarSport built 6. 0 XJR-s. Completed at Kidlington in November 1990 and delivered new to its first owner on the Isle of Man in 1991. The car was brought back to the UK in 1993. To date, the car has covered just 66, 500 miles.
Full history of the car is known from new, the service book is full! Almost all Jaguar main dealer of Jaguar specialist stamps in the book. The history file on the car has to be one of the most comprehensive of anything I’ve seen, including all of the original manuals (JaguarSport specific manuals are also included with hand written notes from previous owners and also signed by Norman Dewis), the original cassette tape manual, and all original brochures and contemporary road tests of the car.
The car is finished in Arctic Blue and is complimented with the Magnolia Conolly leather interior. It has correctly sized Toyo T-1R tyres all round which are no longer available, these were fitted in 2015 and have only done around 4, 000 miles. The tyres are still immaculate.
Has been maintained regardless of cost in the 6 years we’ve owned the car. In 2016 the car went to renowned XJS specialists KWE, where they fitted a new air conditioning compressor, new plugs, leads, fuel injector clean and calibration, new fuel hoses and plated rail, and a few other bits besides. Since then, the car has had a new auxiliary cooling fan fitted (in June this year), a new battery, EMS extra air valve, and an annual service in 2020, a full rear-end subframe rebuild in 2019 including 4x new Bilstein shock absorbers, 2 new rear brake calipers, pinion seals etc., the radiator was re-cored in 2019, brake accumulator sphere and both thermostats were replaced in 2018, and much more besides. Work has come to almost £10, 000 since we’ve owned the car.
The car is kept in a dehumidified garaged and kept on a CTek charger when not in use. The car is maintained by our local Jaguar specialist who used to look after these when they were new, they would be happy to answer any questions you may have on the car.
Car drives wonderfully, a very rare car nowadays and I don’t know of many others that are as ‘on-the-key’, original and as usable as this example.
